This weekend, the Wisconsin Professional Photographers Association held their annual convention. It was scheduled full of great, information packed programs presented by photographers from around the nation. Fabulous portraits were submittted by photographers throughout the State of Wisconsin, to be judged by a jury of their peers during the print competition Last night, at our Association Awards Dinner, Lee won two additional awards! We were very excited when he was named as one of the Top Ten Photographers in the State of Wisconsin. One of his judged images was also awarded a Court of Honor, distinguishing it as one of the top ten in the state! This past fall, Lee also had the honor of being named Best High School Male Photographer in the State of Wisconsin for his portraits of Brandon S. of Deerfield High School. Lee is a Master Craftsman of Photography, a distinction conferred on him by the Professional Photographers of America.
When deciding on who will create a portrait that will become a treasured heirloom in the family for years to come, consider who will be behind the lens. Although Uncle Jim may tinker in photography, Mrs. Miller may be your local high school teacher who does photography as a sideline, or the neighbor next door's son or daughter took a few college classes in photography, it is unlikely they will create quality portraiture that you will cherish throughout your lifetime.
